What are some of the current educational problems that technology might be able to solve?
Educational instruction needs to be accessible to the students. Their lives outside of school are completely integrated with technology, that often the methods utilized in the classroom are too outdated for them. The idea is to get them excited and interested in school, and that motivation will really push achievement. It's tough to get that when they don't have the technology they are used to in the classroom. Technology in an educational setting really opens up innumberable doors for differinciated instruction, and presenting material in a way that holds their attention. I have a feeling that students would be more interested in reading a portion of their texbook in a blog and writing a response online, than reading out of the book and handing in a written response.
